Our programmes

Launched in 2021, our 'Futures Reimagined' Development Programme is designed to provide the youth of Besoro practical tools and guidance to enhance professionalism and entrepreneurship.

Our 'Kick-Start' Work Experience

Residential Programme

Twice a year, twelve young people (6 girls and 6 boys of ages 14-16) from Besoro are selected to participate in our 'Kick-Start' work experience residential programme. They are provided the opportunity to garner practical insight within a city-based work environment. All partner organizations providing work experience opportunities are Kumasi-based, which is approximately 36 miles away from Besoro.

This four-week work-experience residential, aims to introduce young people to the reality of working life; increasing occupational knowledge and understanding of the skills, attributes and qualifications required; and enhancing their social and communication skills.

In addition to the practical work experience, each student will also receive a mentor from the organization for the duration of the residential programme.

We cover all expenses for the four-week period, this includes travel costs, accommodation and meals. Each student will also receive x3 professional outfits.

Supervised evening and weekend cultural activities will be provided as part of the residential programme.

Each student will document the learnings from their experience as a record of their experience and growth.
